Website for Pascale Hustings, visual artist
When Pascale Hustings came to us with the request for a website we decided to drop most conventions used in webdesign concerning visual artists. One of the key conventions used for websites for painters is to display the work on a 'neutral' background.
Pascale often paints on prints of photos she made throughout her life. We took these photos and project them randomly behind the paintings, creating a much more close atmosphere. We hereby display the paintings in it's original context, going against one of the principles commonly used in art (i.e. taking something out of it's context). Don't call us rebelions! www.marouda.nl/texnh
